Jane Darragh was a Roslyn School classmate of many of us.
Jane, a devoted lover of nature and a talented landscape architect, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2024. Her passion for the natural world was evident in every aspect of her life. She found joy in painting evocative landscapes and capturing the beauty she saw in the world around her.
Jane was born in Montreal where she developed her love for the outdoors, often hiking and skiing in the beautiful mountains of the Laurentians and Eastern Townships.
In her early teens, Jane’s family moved to Nairobi, Kenya, where her father, a doctor, helped establish a new medical school. This adventure ignited Jane’s passion for travel and cultural diversity.
Jane graduated from Queen’s University in 1979 with her B.A and later, received her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Toronto in 1985. She also obtained her Environmental Management Certificate from Ryerson Polytechnic University in 1996.
She will be missed dearly by her brothers Ian (Elizabeth) and Alex (Linda), and her nieces and nephews: Christopher, Jeffrey, Hillary, Michael, Patrick, Margaret and Alan. https://www.ridleyfuneralhome.com/obituaries/Jane-Darragh?obId=33759790&fbclid=IwY2xjawGnkrpleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHVF2QpmMV0bBe19Mm_MyM947zXkTw7s8Ljy1P6HBD
