OSTERMAN, William Raymond (Bill)
On Saturday March 4, 2017 at May Court Hospice, Ottawa, in his 91st year. Born in Montreal in 1926, the youngest of six children, Bill was an athlete, physical education teacher, outdoorsman, summer camp director, carpenter and all-around handyman and story-teller. He was equally at home with a canoe paddle, golf club, ski pole, curling broom, hammer, coach's whistle, or square dance caller's microphone in his hand, and spent many happy summers at his beloved cottage in Dunany (Wentworth), Quebec. Lovingly remembered by Mirjam (nee Kuusisto) his wife of 67 years, children John (Daniele Brochu), Shirley (Gerald MacAlpine), David (Vera) and Heather (Douglas Osterman-Burgess), 11 grandchildren, 5 great- grandchildren, and all his nieces and nephews.
